Byzantium 2.0 / Byzantine League

Byzantium 2.0 is not an Empire nor a federation of Nations. It is a network of interconnected lands, cities and towns based on trade and trade opportunity. It is a new kind of Hanseatic League for Central and Eastern Europe, based on Roman Citizenship, protecting the interests of entrepreneurial and active citizens.

This Byzantine network consists of:

• regional Centers of Trade (CoT),
• Centers of Ideas (CoI),
• Religious Centers,
• Centers of Projects (CoP), and
• Media Centers.

What is needed is the foundation of three major, international Centres of Trade as major trade hubs. The selected cities, see below, are part of real Byzantine history.

At this point they are virtual cities based on an online presence and online consensus as to respect their new names. The cities are part of Byzantine heritage and the legacy of Rome.
